About the project

// 2 min read

Daily rent in Kazakhstan runs on Telegram chats, Instagram DMs, and 2GIS calls. A guest looking for a two-bedroom in Almaty for the weekend has to message twelve hosts, compare twelve prices, and triangulate quality from photos. The client's bet was that this could work like inDrive — guest posts once, hosts come back with offers, prices visible side by side.

We built it as a Flutter app on a Laravel back-office. At signup a user picks a side — Looking (post requests) or Renting out (reply to incoming ones). Requests are structured: city, dates, headcount, price range, amenities filter, and an open comment. Hosts whose listings match see the request in their feed and reply with their apartment's price; the offers stack up in the guest's messages, sorted by price or recency. The chat anchors to the listing so neither side loses context — address, photo, and price always visible at the top of the thread.

My requests — guest's posted requests with dates, price range, amenities
02My requests — guest side
Messages — incoming offers from hosts, prices side by side
03Offers — sorted by price or time
Chat — anchored to a listing with address, photo, and price at the top
04Chat — anchored to the listing

The Laravel back-office runs the rest — user moderation, dispute resolution, the city catalogue, and an analytics view that flags supply/demand mismatches week by week. The mobile app handles push notifications when new offers arrive, in-app reviews after a stay, and the dual-role profile that flips between guest and host without two separate accounts.
